Prior to the deadline day, Turkish highly rated striker Burak Yilmaz failed to complete his move to Lazio. The striker for his impressive performances in the Champions League and a terrific display in his domestic league was linked with a number of European giants. The Gunners aimed high as they lost out on Higuain and Suarez without concentrating much on Yilmaz.
Apparently the player’s agent, Ali Egesel, claimed to have agreed personal terms with the Italian outfit for the striker, but was subsequently blamed by their club president, Claudio Lotito, for playing a major part in the move’s collapse.
Now, Talksport claims that the failure could turn into a favor for Arsenal as they will be definitely looking for a striker to add goals upfront. With the quality of Ozil providing killer passes, a finisher like Burak Yilmaz would be a useful signing by every stretch of imagination.
The north London outfit remain light of options in attack, with Olivier Giroud and Yaya Sanogo the only options available to manager Arsene Wenger. And, with Ozil creating the chances, Yilmaz could flourish at Arsenal if they do decide to pursue the player in the New Year.
