he Telegraph has reported yesterday that an anonymous group of Gulf traders would like to take over Arsenal’s ownership by making a bid of £1.5 billion.
As the news came out, a lot of questions were raised on the future of Arsene Wenger because the Frenchman enjoys excellent relations with the chief executive, Ivan Gazidis, and the owner of the North London club.
However, Wenger revealed that he has no knowledge about the takeover, while he recovered from a defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.
“We are only vulnerable to a takeover if they want to sell and that is down to the owners,” said the Gunners’ boss who was seen very frustrated during the match.
‘I don’t know if they are interested in selling, that is something I don’t know because I haven’t spoken to them.’
