After Arsenal completed their second signing of Mathieu Flamini, Arsene Wenger has dropped a clue that more players are due joining the red and white of London and he is mounting every ounce of hardwork in the transfer season to ensure Arsenal have a squad which can be competitive at the end for every trophy available.
The North London outfit announced that the Frenchman, who spent four years with the Gunners before leaving, has signed a three-year contract. On the official website of the club when Arsene Wenger was aksed questions about the imminent arrivals at The Emirates, he said, “When you think that we lost three players of the stature of [Mikel] Arteta, [Alex] Oxlade-Chamberlain and [Lukas] Podolski for three months basically before the season really starts, it’s very hard to take and we are in a position where you want some more players.”
Other reports have claimed that the club has lodged in a bid of £25.6m for Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria who looks set to be leaving the Los Blancos because of the expected arrival of Gareth Bale. As Tottenham have are closing in on Erik Lamela it is pretty evident that Bale is set to leave the White Hart Lane which will eventually clear Arsenal’s way for completing the signing of Di Maria.
It is understood that the North London outfit have submitted an offer of around £25.6m for Di Maria, but Madrid are yet to respond as their focus is on wrapping up the capture of Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur, according to Goal.com.
