This league is probably the toughest in years even after the nail-biting finish when Manchester United and Manchester City went neck to neck till the last second. But this time the race is between 3 teams or may be even 4. Any of the top 3 teams can’t afford to lose a single point and Arsenal ended up losing three yesterday and that too in a worse fashion losing 5-1 to Liverpool at Anfield which previously was considered as Arsenal’s second home.
Arsene Wenger placed his best team possible apart from starting Nacho Monreal in place of Gibbs who has been in consistently good form.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says his players had a lot to answer for after losing 5-1 to Liverpool in today’s early kick-off.
The Gunners were distinctly second best to the Reds, going 4-0 down inside just 20 minutes, in a result that will throw Wenger’s side’s title credentials into serious doubt.
Speaking after the game, the Frenchman said that he could only have praise for the Arsenal fans throughout the 90 minutes.
He said: “Tonight we have to lot answer for, and a lot of answers to find. We have to respond against Manchester United on Wednesday. Only the fans were good today. The team played in slow motion.”
