Daily Mail has revealed another interesting story for Arsenal as it says that Arsene Wenger is moving closer to replace Arsenal’s long serving veteran Bacary Sagna who is apparently looking for exit routes from The Emirates. The report suggests that Arsenal are eyeing another Southampton’s young prodigy Calum Chambers this summer.
The Gunners boss has been deep in negotiations with Sagna, whose contract expires at the end of the seasons. Sagna is believed to be holding out for a lucrative three-year contract worth £90,000-a-week, which Arsenal have not offered.
Meanwhile other clubs, such as Galatasaray, have told the 31-year-old that they will meet his demands and it now looks as though he is more likely to leave than stay.
It has left Wenger looking urgently for a potential successor as he would be left with only Carl Jenkinson for next season if Sagna does indeed depart as expected.
The 19 year old is having a super season with managing 21 appearances brushing aside Nathaniel Clyne from his starting place under the management of Pochettino.
