According to The Metro, Arsene Wenger expected to sign a new contract at Arsenal within a week as Stan Kroenke jets in. American billionaire Stan Kroenke has flown to London from his Colorado home to oversee the final stages of the deal which will keep Wenger out of the clutches of envious European admirers, including Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
It is also believed he could authorize an ambitious move for the Premier League leaders to swoop for Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler.

Draxler is already a full Germany international and is already closing in on 100 appearances for Schalke 04.

And with the star’s buy-out clause set at £40 million, Arsenal could break the bank for another German ace before the end of this window.
Arsene Wenger will be desperate to end the club’s eight-year trophy drought this season and, with Arsenal sitting top of the Premier League, the addition of Draxler would only improve his side’s chances of a trophy in this campaign.
