Arsene Wenger has revealed about his team ahead of the Liverpool game.
The good news is that Thomas Vermaelen is back and the Arsenal squad would be looking forward to beat Liverpool so that they will not drop any more points here.
“Thomas Vermaelen is back available. And the players who were rested are back in contention, too,” Arsene Wenger revealed.
Mikel Arteta and Francis Coquelin are still unavailable and it is unlikely for them to even return at the weekend.
“They are a bit short – 100 per cent [they are unavailable] for Wednesday. Even for Saturday [they could be short], but there is a little chance they will be available at the weekend,” Wenger revealed.
Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski could get a chance to play very soon but it is less likely for him to feature against Liverpool. He might be used over the weekend against Stoke.
“He is doing very well in training and now he needs to play a game,” Wenger told the reporters.
Arsenal are currently 6th on the table and they will be looking to pick up points to qualify for the Champions League.
