Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he was at the Heathrow Airport yesterday, but he has clarified that his club is not close to signing anyone. The Frenchman claimed that he was feeling ‘guilty’ because he did not have any transfer news to discuss at his press conference.
With hardly a week left in the January transfer period, the Arsenal manager openly admitted that he is short of time and he might not sign anyone.
Also, Wenger claimed that he was not at the Camp Nou to scout Cristian Tello which further strengthens our claims that he wants to sign Sergi Roberto from Barcelona.
Yet Wenger claimed that the Tello reports were a “wide of the mark” and said: “I was at Heathrow yesterday that’s true. But there’s no-one unfortunately (in our sights).
“I feel a bit guilty always going to a press conference during the transfer market and having nobody to announce but I don’t want to lie.”
