Arsenal are ready to announce one big signing in the next 36 hours after a frustrating and a boring transfer windows since two months. Supporters have been terribly vocal since the last Premier League game against Aston Villa forcing Arsenal to spend money despite of the promises being made of spending huge money and getting the hold of a strong transfer kitty.
The Gunners have hit the odds of 10-1 with Betfair that they will sign one senior player in the next 36 hours and there are hopes that the signings will be announced on the official Arsenal thread.
The club are 7-2 to sign two players by the end of the summer window, with three and four players at 9-4.
The Londoners made a £10m bid for Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye on Monday and Alan Pardew responded angrily to the bid terming it as insulting for the club and as well as for the player, and with some of the clubs key players Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s, Bacary Sagna, Kieran Gibbs, Tomas Rosicky and Aaron Ramsey carrying injuries, more bids for the world class stars are forth coming.
A Betfair spokesman said: “With some key players carrying injuries, we may see more bids flying in from Arsenal but Wenger is notoriously reluctant to spend big and that may ultimately be his down fall”.
