Arsene Wenger has openly claimed that Arsenal will not be bringing in any new strikers to the club this summer. He has brought all the transfer mills to a halt since linking Arsenal to strikers is a much published affair.
Reports have been flying in from here and there that Marco Reus has rejected Borussia Dortmund’s offer for a new contract and he is planning to change his club. Arsenal are planning to take advantage of the situation. Before Reus got injured – right before the FIFA World Cup 2014 – Arsenal were heavily linked with the German sensation and it was claimed that a deal was almost reached.
However, The Metro are now claiming that Arsenal are preparing a £28million bid for the player.
The 25-year-old’s style of play could suit Arsenal very much. He is known for his technique, skill, speed and versatility. The attacking-midfielder/winger could be converted into a striker by Arsenal just like Henry was converted into a goal poacher from a winger.
