It’s been weeks that the situation regarding Arsenal veteran Bacary Sagna is hanging in the middle. Arsenal wants to offer him a good contract so he could finish the rest of his career at the Emirates and the fans remember him for his loyal services at the club.
The Sagna contract situation seems to be taken a new dimension these days as reports in the press have suggested that the 31 year old has had enough with the club, and is set to leave at the end of the season.
The player was quoted to have told a close friend he will be leaving the Emirates at the end of the season over his refusal to reach an agreement with the Gunners. His contract expires at the end of the season, and no agreement for an extension has been reached yet by both parties.
He said, “He will leave the club 100 per cent – there is no way he will stay. He feels very heartbroken, disgusted and disrespected by the board and the offers they are making, after being so loyal to the club for so many years. Now his focus will be to help his team-mates and the fans by landing the FA Cup and a top four finish.”
