There is no better than the French legend Arsene Wenger to turn the tides in tough situations. Last year before the signing of Ozil there were so many Arsenal fans who were calling for his head and rooting for his exit from The Emirates as there were questions on his ambitions due to failure in signing stellar players. But then he pulled off a master stroke of a signing in Mesut Ozil.
With Arsenal’s terrific form and consistency to maintain the first spot in the league table, there couldn’t have been better news. The Daily star has reported that Arsene Wenger is set to complete a new deal.
Wenger’s future was put in doubt by Arsenal’s opening day defeat to Aston Villa in August but last night’s win ensured that the loss is well and truly behind them as they chase the Premier League title.
Despite having decided not to sign a new deal until the second half of the season, Wenger insisted he would like to remain at Arsenal for the remainder of his career if possible.
an announcement of the deal won’t be held until German defender Per Mertesacker completes a new deal, as well as French international Bacary Sagna.
