After a solid performance against Stoke City again today, Arsenal have jumped onto the top of the table and now every move which Wenger makes seems like turning into gold. With the signing like Ozil, and performances on the field Gunners look all set to target the trophy. Arsene Wenger has slapped his players who left Arsenal after questioning the ambition of the club.
The Express are getting Gunners all excited again by claiming that Arsene Wenger is lining up an audacious move for £68m rated duo Marco Reus and Julian Draxler.
Gunners were strongly linked with Draxler in the summer and the newspaper suggests Wenger remains keen on bringing the highly-rated Schalke attacker to the Emirates. However, we will face stiff competition from Juventus with the Italian champions seemingly prepared to meet the Bundesliga outfit’s £34m asking price.
The Express also reports that Arsene Wenger is placing a cheeky bid in January to tempt Marco Reus playing for the North Londoners. But they suggest that the Frenchman may hold out till next summer as the player won’t be available to play in the Champions League because of he’ll be cup tied.
Rues and Draxler are certainly the quality of players Arsenal should now be looking at but it’s highly unlikely they’ll sign both, despite what the Express claim as their combined value might exceed to resources Arsenal have.
