Napoli striker Edinson Cavani has revealed that he has not information about the rumoured interest from Arsenal, but he does admit the an offer from Barcelona or Real Madrid ‘stimulates the imagination’.
Cavani has been constantly linked with the Barclays Premier League, with Arsenal on top. However, since the departure of Mario Balotelli, Manchester City would like to sign him as well.
Napoli had earlier revealed that Cavani’s release clause is €63 million (£54m). However, Arsenal might have been scared off by this price tag, but Rea Madrid are now looking to sign him in the summer.
Cavani, keeping in mind interest from all over, is keeping his mind open and could choose any league to pursue his career.
Arsenal have also been rumoured to be admirers of Cavani and, while the forward is happy at Napoli, he is keeping an open mind regarding his long-term future.
“I know nothing about Arsenal’s interest,” Cavani told Radio Onda Cero. “I have only heard about it now.
“My future? I have a contract for four years but in football you never know what to expect.
“Barcelona and Real Madrid are teams which stimulate the imagination. But I only think about the present.
“I’m living the highest point of my career with Napoli and I want to concentrate on fighting for the scudetto. Along with my team-mates, we want to give a dream for our people.”
