The January transfer window is over and Arsenal failed to lure some big names to North London, but this does not mean that Arsene Wenger has given up. The Frenchman is constantly working on his list to sign up some big names.
Arsenal could target France midfielder Etienne Capoue. The Daily Telegraph has reported that Arsenal would be looking to quickly sign the 24-year-old midfielder.
It is being reported that Arsenal had made a bid for him, but they had failed to sign him. However, they want to sign him so they could get a permanent replacement for Alex Song. Song had left Arsenal for FC Barcelona last summer.
Though Mikel Arteta has been playing in that position, but that is not his natural position and Wenger would want a proper defensive midfielder.
Capoue could also play at centre-back – a position that has been worrying Arsene Wenger.
Considering the fans’ demands, Arsenal might be changing their transfer policy. Arsenal mostly signed young players and developed them into big stars but now they would only sign big names.
