It would be a lower blow to Manchester United if Arsenal somehow can avenge the Robin van Persie saga. Yesterday it was reported that Danny Welbeck is considering his future at United after not been handed over enough opportunities to prove his credentials as a center forward. Same with Javier Hernandez; not so long ago he wanted out and Arsenal legend has exactly stated that the Gunners should pounce on this opportunity.
Mexican striker Hernandez has only been a bit-part player this season, with David Moyes overlooking him in the Champions League for a half-fit Wayne Rooney.
Hernandez has had less time on the pitch but has made good use of it. He has found the net with 22 per cent of his chances, while Giroud has scored with just 13.5 per cent of his shots.
United have been linked with top striker Edinson Cavani in recent days, whose arrival would push Chicharito further down the pecking order.
Atletico Madrid are said to be interested in the United man, whose future may also depend on whether Robin van Persie forces a summer exit or not.
