Arsenal legend approves Draxler’s move

Arsenal have been heavily linked with the German sensation Julian Draxler. The youngster has a £37million release clause in his contract.

However, Schalke general manager Horst Heldt and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger have both claimed that there is no deal taking place.

Arsenal’s former player Lehmann who made 200 appearances for the club claims that it would be good for the player, but he claims that the player should not move in January.

“I think Julian Draxler is perceived to be one of the greatest, talented young players in Germany,” Lehmann told Sky Sports.

“So it would be a good move for him to go to Arsenal.

“Probably not now in the winter break because he can still play Real Madrid in the Champions League with Schalke. He can see Schalke will be qualified for next year’s Champions League.

“With Arsenal, he has a bigger likeness of playing in the Champions League next year, which is quite certain. Of course, it may give him a bigger chance to play at the World Cup with Brazil.”

There are only a few days left in this window to end and Wenger had earlier claimed that he did not have enough time to complete business, so it seems more likely that if the player has to move, he will move in the Summer.
