Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed his team’s injury status and revealed that all the injured players will remain sidelined, while the only new change from the Champions League squad will be the addition of Nacho Monreal.
“Sagna and Podolski will not be back. And Wilshere, as we know, is out as well. So the only one who will come back is Monreal because he was not qualified for the Champions League,” said the Frenchman.
However, Kieran Gibbs was seen in the squad the last time Arsenal played, but he will not be played on Saturday as a precaution.
“I think he will be out on Saturday. He had a little reaction on his thigh. He is not injured but we have to be cautious with it. He might be out,” Wenger told Arsenal.com
However, rest of the squad is fine.
“Apart from that everyone who played [at Bayern] should be OK. There are bumps and bruises after a game of that intensity but that should be it,” Wenger confirmed.
