Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has given a positive injury update on Theo Walcott and Mikel Arteta.
Walcott was ruled out for one month after he picked up an abdominal injury during warm up ahead of the Gunners’ clash with Stoke on Sunday.
The surgery took place on Wednesday in Germany and it was a success with no complications reported and he will return after the next international break.
Arsene Wenger told Sky Sports: “Walcott had surgery and it went very well. He’s coming back (from Germany) Thursday so it’s what we expected there were no complications.”
On the other hand, Mikel Arteta played against West Brom last night and he limped off during the first half extra time. However, the player was suffering from a cramp and there is nothing to worry about.
Wenger told Arsenal Player: “He is fine, he just had cramp.”
Santi Cazorla, on the other hand, revealed on Arsenal’s official titter: “I will be fit maybe in one week, I hope I can play at West Brom.”
It seems like the injury update is full of great news for all the Arsenal fans out there.
