North London team Arsenal FC could be apparently in a battle with the Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala who also want to sign Valencia defender Adil Rami, this summer.

Arsene Wenger is trying to be proactive this season, because the future of Arenal’s captain Thomas Vermaelen still remains uncertain.
Sources in Russia reveal that Anzhi are also trying hard to sign the defender, because the gap left by the departure of Christopher Samba, has still not be filled.
Anzhi are reported to be prepared to offer £13m for signing Rami, and they will offer a salary of over £3 million a year.
