It looks like that the Gunner fanbase haven’t forgot the saga linking them to Luis Suarez in the last transfer window. Arsene Wenger lodged in a surprise bid of 40m and 1 pound to trigger the buyout clause which would allow him to negotiate personal terms with the Uruguayan. But Liverpool treated Suarez like a slave and didn’t allow him to leave to Arsenal.
In the first half of Arsenal’s win over Liverpool on Saturday evening, Luis Suarez went over to take a corner in front of the Arsenal fans.
With the summer transfer saga still fresh in the memory, Arsenal supporters decided to remind the Uruguayan striker that he “should have signed for a big club.”
The subsequent 2-0 Arsenal victory with Arsene Wenger’s side going five points clear at the top of the table, suggests Suarez could well have joined a (current) bigger club.
The Gunners are better placed that Liverpool and are favorites for a trophy this season. Suarez, after the game must have been thinking that he should have at least tried hard to force out a move to Emirates if he wants to won the trophy. Specially in a team with a signing like Mesut Ozil.
