Bacary Sagna has been the new media favorite nowadays with reports flying all over the internet regarding his ‘imminent’ departure from the club. It would be interesting to see what happens in the future; only time will tell.
But according to the news the France International star is consider the exit door way from Ashburton Grove after supposedly entering into a dispute with the board members over the situation regarding the new contract offer.
Arsenal could lose Bacary Sagna over £20,000-a-week difference of opinion when it comes to his wage demands.
The 31-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and looks set to leave the Gunners on a free transfer with Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Galatasaray and Inter Milan all interested in his services.
The Daily Mail reports Arsenal executives have offered Sagna a three year deal worth £80,000 a week. However the Frenchman wants £100,000 a week.
Rules bar the right-back from talking with Manchester City before the end of the season, so Sagna’s advisers have scheduled talks after the FA Cup final with the Etihad Stadium.
The departure of Sagna would be a huge blow. The Gunners lost Ashley Cole to Chelsea in a very similar scenario in 2006 after offering him £5,000-a-week less than the £60,000-a-week he wanted.
