We reported and covered the news of Olivier Giroud being axed by the club after the French striker’s unimpressive spells in the last few games coupled with his ongoing family problems and disciplinary issues as he was found with a model in the team’s hotel room. This hasn’t made Wenger happy and he wants to axe the French star.
Romelu Lukaku is another striker who has been in the limelight for his terrific last two loan spells at Everton and West Bromwich Albion. Reportedly Arsene Wenger wants him at Arsenal as a replacement for Giroud which will be a huge upgrade.
But securing his coveted signature will not be easy. His 13 goals this campaign have alerted a host of Champions League clubs – something that Arsenal might not be in a couple of weeks’ time.
Everton could well be though – and that could be a real kicker for the ex-Anderlecht net tickler, who could yet be tempted to hang around in the north west for a little longer.
Either way, with Chelsea supposedly eyeing moves for everyone from Diego Costa, to Edinson Cavani, and Radamel Falcao, it looks increasingly likely that the player will be farmed out of the Bridge.
