Arsenal could sign Cavani for €70m

As Arsenal’s current condition shows, the club could do much better with a top-class striker. This is because the North Londoners lack the required aggression up-front and they will prefer a developed striker than a developing one.

Cavani could be open for Arsenal, as Chelsea are closely monitoring Radamel Falcao.

Cavani is referred to as one of the best strikers in Europe, as he has bragged 69 goals in the Serie A within just three seasons. Arsenal are in need of exactly this kind of aggression.

Napoli president De Laurentiis said, “With his contract’s clause we set a very high mark because we want him to stay here.

“But it is obvious that if a 26 year-old striker is followed by one of the world’s most important clubs he might be attracted by it.

“Remember, though, Cavani knows that in Napoli he is loved and well respected. Living in our city is an act of faith and awareness.

“But if we received a crazy €70 million offer, which would mean a €63 million net for our club, we would listen to it – although the final decision is up to the player.”
