Arsenal have been really famous for missing out key targets and mentioning all of them would take a hell a lot of time. But a few notable ones were Gonzalo Higuain, Luis Gustavo, Luis Suarez; reading these three names would kick in a little bit of frustration because with them Arsenal definitely would’ve been challenging for a lot more silverware.

Gunners were heavily linked with a move for Inter Milan attacking midfielder Ricardo Alvarez few years back. Back in 2011-12, Palermo president certified of the interest by Arsenal. He said, “At this moment he has already signed for the Gunners” while many websites even speculated he would be the perfect replacement of Cesc Fabregas at the North London club.

The deal didn’t happen. Arsenal missed another transfer target and the player joined Serie A giants Inter Milan instead.

However, according to Calciomercato, the Argentine is set to the leave the Nerazzurri and Arsenal or Borussia Dortmund could be preferred destination.

The 26-year-old, who is already a part of Argentine national team set-up has made 24 league starts this season, but his last appearance came in January. He’s struggling to get regular games at the club and thereby could move in the summer.
