Arsenal close in on 8m defender:

The defense partnership this season for The Gunners has been rock solid. Per Mertasacker and Laurent Koscielny have definitely made Steve Bould proud with their brilliant on field coordination. Kieran Gibbs has been a surprise improvement and it is fair to say that the lad has developed himself as one of the most reliable left backs in the country but the veteran and ever reliable Bacary Sagna is surely on his way out from the Emirates.

According the Daily Mirror, Arsenal are eyeing Serge Aurier as their potential Bacary Sagna replacement. The very reliable news source Sky Sports have reported that the Toulouse defender was interested in an Arsenal move.

Aurier reportedly told Foot Mercato, a French website dedicated to football news, of his aspiration to play in the Premier League and that he would not turn down a move to Arsenal. Aurier is quoted as saying

“You cannot refuse Arsenal. You can ask any player if he would play for Arsenal and I think he would respond positively without hesitation.”

So it will be very likely if we see the right wing back in Arsenal color next season.
