The Gunners are all familiar about Arsenal’s interest in signing BIG players as they were unsuccessful spending their full transfer muscle in the last summer transfer window. This January promises enough to get excited about for Arsenal’s fanbase.
Mesut Ozil’s signing showed intent and the Arsenal manager today revealed that Arsenal will continue making their team a powerhouse coming January.
Speaking at the club’s AGM, Wenger said Arsenal are determined to pair big money signings with talented youngsters who have come through the ranks.
“We have a huge ambition to win this league again and that is the target of the season, but I still believe our policy has to be based on three different levels. I don’t think without that we will have success,” Wenger said.
“The first level is of course, continue to defend our style of play, our philosophy of play and our values. That can only be done by developing our own players and the core of our team has to come from the development inside our club”
Speaking about his intent in spending money by bringing Ozil’s signing into the context he said that Arsenal were never afraid of spending big when it came to right platers.
“I am quite happy that we have shown to you that we are not scared to spend money when we think the players have the quality and we have the funds available to do it.”
