It would be really interesting to see that whether Arsene Wenger sticks to his philosophy of ‘full value for money’ or with the greater financial muscle of Arsenal this season he decides to pay extra bit of money to land his targets. Previously Arsenal have lost out on key players after being ahead in the transfer negotiation but only to lose it to some rival club paying more.
Reports have also suggested that Wenger has decided not to persist for Schalke’s Julian Draxler anymore but he hasn’t stopped tracking his other targets.
REPORTS from Denmark suggest money-savvy Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is set to snap up Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel on a free transfer.
The keeper, who is the son of Manchester United legend Peter, has helped the Foxes to promotion to the Premier League this season but is out of contract this summer.
The Gunners face competition for Schmeichel from AC Milan, Southampton and Olympiakos but it is thought the 27-year-old is keen to stay in England, with the lure of living in London a big draw in Arsenal’s favour.
