People this season have doubted Wenger’s loyalty to the club with fans expecting him to leave on a high if he manages to win the FA cup. It is true that Wenger has made Arsenal very stable but as yet has been unable to reap the benefits. But there’s no doubt that he will become stronger if given the time he deserves.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger claims he has never doubted he will remain at the Emirates Stadium helm beyond the summer.
Wenger moved to reassure supporters he will sign a new contract, as pledged, once the season is complete, after leading his team on a lap of honour following their 1-0 Barclays Premier League victory over West Brom in their final home match.
The Frenchman also ruled out a move for Loic Remy, despite the QPR striker attending Arsenal’s routine triumph – secured by Olivier Giroud’s first-half header.
“Don’t worry, don’t be too impatient, my last time will come, you’ll get rid of me one day, don’t worry!” Wenger said, reiterating his intention to sign a new contract.
“I’ve said many times my word is my word. I’m from a period where you didn’t need a pen to commit.”
