As we all know that few weeks back Manchester United signed a 18year old striker Angelo Henriquez from Universidad de Chile .The deal was done in £4million with great hopes .Now Many have started perceiving that he could next Cristiano Ronaldo because Ronaldo was also almost of the same age when he signed for Manchester United and converted himself into a mega star.
Although Sir Alex proclaims that he was tracking Henriquez since Henriquez was 14 and literally watched him improve.Sir Alex admitted that Henriquez was on club’s radar for four years and believes that he can bring wonders to the club.
Sir Alex admitted that
“We scouted him when he was 14 and just monitored him.”
“When he turned 18 we knew we could take him.”
“We couldn’t sign him until he was 18 so we were fortunate the Chile Under-20s were over here.”
“They were in tournaments at the Milk Cup in Holland. We watched all the games and everyone said ,You need to bring him in.”
Although now its too early to compare him with Ronaldo because he had not yet played any major game for Manchester United and remember Ronaldo also took one or two year to convert himself into a world class player at Manchester United .So he definitely needs some time and as far as potential is concern than he certainly has some serious talent .He scored 11 goals in 17 games for Universidad de Chile and certainly has a footballing sense ,his eye for goal is also very fascinating and is found in very few strikers in the world .
