No one can forget the dipping long balls Alex Song provided to Robin van Persie’s wonderful volleys. A clever little player, who opted to ditch Arsenal and went to Barcelona with a thought of breaking into the first team through the world’s best midfield. The midfielder now seems to be regretting his decision and still has an affection for Arsene Wenger as he says he is open to a move to Arsenal.
The Cameroon international has had a tough time to earn a regular starting berth with the Catalans since leaving the Premier League outfit for a fee in the region of €17 million last summer.
He enjoyed a six-year spell with the Gunners, admits a return to the Emirates Stadium could be on the horizon.
He told in an interview: “I do not know what will happen in the future, but it is true that I spent some fantastic seasons there [at Arsenal]. We will see what happens, but for now I’m a Barcelona player.”
