Barcelona are ready to extend the contract of Xavi and are ready to offer him a new deal .Although Xavi still has two year remaining but Barcelona are willing to extend the contract which shows the importance of Xavi in Barcelona .
Xavi’s agent Ivan Corretja said: “Last Friday the club sent us its intention to renew the contract because they want Xavi to sign a new deal, given that the current one ends in 2014.
“Therefore it is normal that we begin to talk about these issues because in June it would be too late.”
Corretja added that
“We have always agreed in previous talks and there have never been problems of any kind.”
“For the player it is very important to know that the club remains confident in him.”
“Therefore I do not think there is any problem.”
Xavi at the moment is enjoying a wonderful International and club career .He is wining almost all the silverware and currently is the part of the best team and club in the world .Xavi with his national team has won UEFA Euro 2008 ,World cup 2010,UEFA Euro 2012 and was named the player of the tournament in UEFA Euro 2008 .Xavi has won more trophies than any other Spanish player.
Xavi has received five Ballon d’Or nominations, and finished on third place in 2009, 2010 and 2011.Xavi has won 6 LA LIGA titles ,two Copa Del Ray ,5 Super Copas ,Two UEFA supercups ,two FIFA club world cups and three champions league title with Barcelona .
