Arsenal’s hunt for striking reinforcement continues as injury scares might haunt Arsenal’s progress for the season as they have pretty less quality available in the dressing room specially in the strike department.
Arsene Wenger was keen to sign a striker in the summer transfer window but missed out despite showing interest in Gonzalo Higuain, Wayne Rooney and bidding for Luis Suarez. The Gunners were also linked with a late £40m move for Benzema but, with just one day left of the transfer window; they instead opted to sign Mesut Ozil for £42.5m.
Arsenal are only left with Giroud as the notable goal scorer in their squad as Wenger had to bring Bendtner back from the cold.
There are now suggestions that Wenger will go back to Real Madrid in the hope that he can bring Benzema to the Emirates in another mega money move.
The Daily Star says that life has taken a turn for worse for Benzema in the Spanish capital and he is eager to secure a move away as a result.
Despite starting every game so far for Los Blancos, scoring four goals, The French Striker has been the target of boos from the Madrid supporters, who feel that Benzema isn’t putting in a satisfactory level of effort.
Now whether this disinterests Benzema for playing for the Los Blancos, which is yet to be seen.
