The good thing about this transfer window is that Arsenal are constantly being linked to attacking players, who in need can cover up for their only prolific strike option Olivier Giroud. Yesterday there was news of Arsenal being linked to Saul Niguez who is a tricky winger and today Gunners have been linked to Alessio Cerci who says his future is far from decided as he looks to play for a top team In the Premier League.
Cerci has been in red hot form so far this season, scoring nine goals in 19 Serie A matches to attract the attention of Europe’s leading clubs including United and the Gunners.
Premier League suitors are likely to face stiff competition for Cerci’s signature from Serie A this summer though, with Juventus and Roma also consistently mentioned in connection with the Italian international.
In an interview with Tuttosport following a 0-0 draw with Fiorentina yesterday Cerci said:
“In January, I will definitely stay at Torino because this gave me a lot, and I just have to concentrate on our league. Then we will see in the future. I’m not one of those players who promise eternal love to the fans: do not do it because in the future, who knows when, I might go away. We will evaluate together with the company and my manager if there are any offers. The club knows what to do and if it came with some reinforcement of quality I’d be happy. Now I will evaluate the offer of the President, but there’s no hurry.”
